In the last decade, there is no denying that we have advanced greatly in digital health for medical purposes. Digital health has not only improved patient’s stability but also created a second chance for some people. Since COVID- 19 has taken over medical attention, we haven’t made as many improvements in digital health as the medical industry would have liked. Some of the digital health trends in 2020 are telemedicine, health apps and AR/VR/MR. COVID- 19 has made the whole world shift into a remote and virtual environment. With that going on, doctors are fulfilling their duties through telemedicine service. Telemedicine allows doctors to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients virtually using technology. Telemedicine has been becoming better than before because the circumstances around it require it. Most private and public health care facilities have shifted to telemedicine for the continuity of their patients' care/treatment. Another popular digital health trend is health apps. Health apps have been there for quite a long time but they are used now more than ever. Many doctors are tracking their patients' health through health apps. These apps usually only target to make sure your basic health is okay. Some specific apps target specific problems. Lately, hospitals have been using AR/VR/MR in healthcare. One benefit that AR/VR/MR provides us with is a reduction in expenses at the hospital. In addition, surgeons can virtually visualize the human body and practice the surgery beforehand to prevent any possible mishaps with VR goggles. Also when a patient comes to the doctor with a problem, the doctor can put on AR glasses and have that patient's case history in a blink of an eye. There are plenty of other possibilities that hospitals can achieve from AR/VR/MR. In the near future, medicine practice and medical facilities will make many more great advancements with the technology they have at hand.
